Arnmóður Hrolleifsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guðfreður Þorbjörnsson charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guðfreður Þorbjörnsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bjartþór Gylfason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fróðmar Ráðgeirsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristfinnur Atlason hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Kristfinnur Atlason kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Anas Húsavík booed when Fylgd Hólmavík was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guðfreður Þorbjörnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fróðmar Ráðgeirsson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnmóður Hrolleifsson firmly grabbed it by the left post. 26 minutes into the match, Anas Húsavík's goal looked a bit too open when Bóas Oddmarsson came free, but Ástvin Ásmundarson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Fylgd Hólmavík's Bóas Oddmarsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ástvin Ásmundarson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Bjartþór Gylfason struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Arnmóður Hrolleifsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anas Húsavík. Bjartþór Gylfason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnmóður Hrolleifsson having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Bjartþór Gylfason got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rögnvaldur Sighvatsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ástvin Ásmundarson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Almar Guðbergsson's late challenge caught a Fylgd Hólmavík's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Almar Guðbergsson helped the player get up and apologised. Almar Guðbergsson hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Bóas Oddmarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fylgd Hólmavík's supporters rose to their feet, but Bóas Oddmarsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ástvin Ásmundarson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bóas Oddmarsson made a kick off. Bóas Oddmarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Rögnvaldur Sighvatsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anas Húsavík's Ástvin Ásmundarson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bóas Oddmarsson in the 62nd minute of play. Ástvin Ásmundarson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rögnvaldur Sighvatsson in the 63rd minute. The audience was convinced that Fróðmar Ráðgeirsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnmóður Hrolleifsson was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Anas Húsavík's zone, Bóas Oddmarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ástvin Ásmundarson came out of the goal and Bóas Oddmarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bóas Oddmarsson in the 69th minute of play forced Anas Húsavík's goalkeeper Ástvin Ásmundarson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnmóður Hrolleifsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fróðmar Ráðgeirsson in the 71st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rögnvaldur Sighvatsson in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ástvin Ásmundarson saved Anas Húsavík from getting behind. Fylgd Hólmavík's Rögnvaldur Sighvatsson got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Fylgd Hólmavík's Rögnvaldur Sighvatsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ástvin Ásmundarson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ástvin Ásmundarson came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Fylgd Hólmavík's Rögnvaldur Sighvatsson. But to his dismay, Rögnvaldur Sighvatsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Anas Húsavík's Ástvin Ásmundarson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bóas Oddmarsson in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fylgd Hólmavík eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
