Lúther Geislason came out of the goal and Ósvaldur Franklínsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Ráðgeir Jóhannesson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hellas Vogum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Þórhalli Aðalsteinsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Ráðgeir Jóhannesson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Þráinn Selfossi's Lúther Geislason. Lúther Geislason was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ingibjörn Jóhannesson kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Ráðgeir Jóhannesson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hellas Vogum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Þórhalli Aðalsteinssons short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Oddmar Davíðsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 28th minute, Árni Skorrason hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Þórhalli Aðalsteinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hlíðberg Borgþórsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Oddmar Davíðsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 played minutes, Þráinn Selfossi's Júlían Mattíasson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oddmar Davíðsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Þráinn Selfossi reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Ráðgeir Jóhannesson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hellas Vogum's supporters rose to their feet, but Ráðgeir Jóhannesson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúther Geislason breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ósvaldur Franklínsson charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ósvaldur Franklínsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Hellas Vogum got a freekick which was hit by Ósvaldur Franklínsson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ósvaldur Franklínsson in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúther Geislason saved Þráinn Selfossi from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ráðgeir Jóhannesson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Þráinn Selfossi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigbergur Kristbjörnsson to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the game, Hlíðar Eyþórsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hellas Vogum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Þráinn Selfossi the free kick. Hlíðar Eyþórsson hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Þórhalli Aðalsteinsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oddmar Davíðsson was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. During the 58th minute of the match Hlíðar Eyþórsson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hlíðar Eyþórsson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 64 minutes into the match, Þráinn Selfossi's Þórhalli Aðalsteinsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oddmar Davíðsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 69 minutes into the game, Freyviður Grímsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Þráinn Selfossi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hellas Vogum the free kick. Oddmar Davíðsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hlíðberg Borgþórsson in the 81st minute of play. Lúther Geislason made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ósvaldur Franklínsson in the 83rd minute. Oddmar Davíðsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hlíðberg Borgþórsson in the 84th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Sigbergur Kristbjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ósvaldur Franklínsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúther Geislason having to interfere. Þórhalli Aðalsteinsson struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Oddmar Davíðsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Þráinn Selfossi. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hellas Vogum walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
