The audience was convinced that Snær Hauksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Barði Níelsson was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Snær Hauksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barði Níelsson having to interfere. The supporters of Grimmu Nautin booed when máni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rögnvaldur Valdsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Snær Hauksson made the kick off in the second half. Barði Níelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Snær Hauksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. One of Grimmu Nautin:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of máni:s goal. Snær Hauksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Barði Níelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erlar Vífilsson kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Barði Níelsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. Grimmu Nautin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Snær Hauksson scored to the left of an out of position Barði Níelsson, making the score, 0-3. Sigsteinn Valbergsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Barði Níelsson made a huge save. Barði Níelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sigsteinn Valbergsson in the 94th minute. Snær Hauksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barði Níelsson having to interfere. When the match was over máni could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Grimmu Nautin throughout the match.
