Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hólmgrímur Freysson kicked off to start the match. Hvöt Selfossi's Birkir Oddgeirsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hólmgrímur Freysson in the 4th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Neptúnus Kjartansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vox Hvammstanga's supporters rose to their feet, but Neptúnus Kjartansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birkir Oddgeirsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute, Neptúnus Kjartansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Hvöt Selfossi's goal looked a bit too open when Neptúnus Kjartansson came free, but Birkir Oddgeirsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neptúnus Kjartansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Birkir Oddgeirsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birkir Oddgeirsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neptúnus Kjartansson in the 16th minute of play. Hólmgrímur Freysson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Birkir Oddgeirsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Sverrir Falgeirsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hvöt Selfossi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vox Hvammstanga the free kick. After 20 played minutes Hvöt Selfossi got a freekick which was hit by Sverrir Falgeirsson. Neptúnus Kjartansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birkir Oddgeirsson having to interfere. Vox Hvammstanga's Gissur Ívarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingberg Snæbjörnsson in the 27th minute of play. Ölvir Hásteinsson took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gissur Ívarsson. Gissur Ívarsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Hólmgrímur Freysson took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Birkir Oddgeirsson. After 39 played minutes Hvöt Selfossi got a freekick which was hit by Marel Alfreðsson.

After a rather tough play, Vox Hvammstanga's Ísidór Runólfsson got a free kick in the 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Hólmgrímur Freysson took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Birkir Oddgeirsson to make any attempt to save it. Birkir Oddgeirsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marinó Valdsson in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hvöt Selfossi's Freybjörn Valgarðsson got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After 76 minutes, Jóel Dagþórsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hvöt Selfossi and the Vox Hvammstanga players grew even worse after the yellow card. 75 minutes into the game, one of Hvöt Selfossi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 87th minute Ölvir Hásteinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gissur Ívarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hólmgrímur Freysson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birkir Oddgeirsson having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hvöt Selfossi's Marel Alfreðsson got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 97th minute Ingberg Snæbjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gissur Ívarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ölvir Hásteinsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 100th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gissur Ívarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ölvir Hásteinsson ran back to his position shaking his head.
