Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ríkharður Ketilsson kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Fjölnir Garðabæ's Gumi Valbergsson got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Ríkharður Ketilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Fjölnir Garðabæ's zone, Gunnólfur Víkingsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jósafat Játvarðarson came out of the goal and Gunnólfur Víkingsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the game, Svanbergur Hannesson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Regis Kópavogi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fjölnir Garðabæ the free kick. Svanbergur Hannesson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Sigurgeir Gabríelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Regis Kópavogi's goalkeeper Valbergur Kormáksson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Fjölnir Garðabæ's goalkeeper Jósafat Játvarðarson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gunnólfur Víkingsson. After 44 played minutes Fjölnir Garðabæ got a freekick which was hit by Sólon Ingvarsson. Guðvin Karlsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sigurgeir Gabríelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Elvar Unnsteinsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valbergur Kormáksson came out and tried to block the shot, but Elvar Unnsteinsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 57th minute. Jósafat Játvarðarson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnólfur Víkingsson in the 60th minute of the match. Sigurlinni Ómarsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Valbergur Kormáksson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 65th minute, Sólon Ingvarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guðvin Karlsson fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 67th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. In the 71st minute, Gunnólfur Víkingsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jósafat Játvarðarson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Regis Kópavogi's Valbergur Kormáksson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Regis Kópavogi from getting a goal against them. Ríkharður Ketilsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jósafat Játvarðarson having to interfere. Regis Kópavogi's Valbergur Kormáksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvar Unnsteinsson in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute Elvar Unnsteinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valbergur Kormáksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Ríkharður Ketilsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ríkharður Ketilsson in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jósafat Játvarðarson saved Fjölnir Garðabæ from getting behind. After 86 played minutes Fjölnir Garðabæ got a freekick which was hit by Sigvaldi Hrafnsson.
