Guttormur Egilsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jenni Randversson, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute Hugo Sigfússon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ársæll Hamarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilbert Kjartansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ársæll Hamarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guttormur Egilsson didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Útherji Súðavík's Sólbjörn Þorrason shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Gilbert Kjartansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ársæll Hamarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After a defensive mix-up in Útherji Súðavík's zone, Gilbert Kjartansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ársæll Hamarsson came out of the goal and Gilbert Kjartansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Hugo Sigfússon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Bull Iceland's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Sigfússon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ársæll Hamarsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute Gilbert Kjartansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ársæll Hamarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Red Bull Iceland's Hugo Sigfússon in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 66th minute, Gilbert Kjartansson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ársæll Hamarsson, passed just outside the right post. Franklín Jósepsson charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklín Jósepsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, Red Bull Iceland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklín Jósepsson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 78 minutes, Jenni Randversson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Útherji Súðavík's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jenni Randversson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Útherji Súðavík succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Red Bull Iceland had controlled the match.
