Lindin Hólmavík's Vébjörn Svangeirsson got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fjólmundur Guðþórsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigfastur Marvinsson having to interfere. With 20 minutes on the clock, Engill Erlendsson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Stáss Ísafirði:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lindin Hólmavík:s goal. The referee gave Lindin Hólmavík a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vébjörn Svangeirsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Stáss Ísafirði's Sigfastur Marvinsson. 1-0. In the 26th minute, Fjólmundur Guðþórsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sigfastur Marvinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vébjörn Svangeirsson in the 28th minute of play. Vébjörn Svangeirsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigfastur Marvinsson having to interfere. Sigfastur Marvinsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vébjörn Svangeirsson in the 46th minute. Fjólmundur Guðþórsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Stáss Ísafirði's Sigfastur Marvinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vébjörn Svangeirsson in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute Lindin Hólmavík were awarded a corner. Vébjörn Svangeirsson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Lindin Hólmavík's Siggeir Harðarson getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Vébjörn Svangeirsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lindin Hólmavík's supporters rose to their feet, but Vébjörn Svangeirsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sigfastur Marvinsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vagn Snorrason hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Geirþjófur Goðmundsson hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The supporters of Stáss Ísafirði booed when Lindin Hólmavík was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ásgautur Birgisson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Stáss Ísafirði's Þórhallur Hingsson tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Sigfastur Marvinsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ásgautur Birgisson went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 97th minute, Haukvaldur Runólfsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Grankell Elísson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Lindin Hólmavík's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
