Hildibergur Númason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Greind Þórshöfn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ástbjörn Tómasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Logi Bollason had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mekkinó Þráinson. Varðan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Logi Bollason was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Hildibergur Númason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Grettir Sigfússon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mekkinó Þráinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herfinnur Boðason made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Úlfgeir Jónþórsson sent off a good shot on target. Greind Þórshöfn were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
