Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Grettir Sigfússon started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6thth minute of the game Grettir Sigfússon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tekk Kjörvogi's Grettir Þorleifsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Grettir Sigfússon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sölvar Hallmundsson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Reinhart Stígsson struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Herfinnur Boðason didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tekk Kjörvogi. After 21 played minutes Greind Þórshöfn got a freekick which was hit by Logi Bollason. 25 minutes into the match, Kristlaugur Steinsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Grettir Þorleifsson. Tekk Kjörvogi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kristlaugur Steinsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinhart Stígsson in the 29th minute of play forced Greind Þórshöfn's goalkeeper Herfinnur Boðason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Grettir Sigfússon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tekk Kjörvogi's Grettir Þorleifsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Grettir Þorleifsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grettir Sigfússon in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Theodór Almarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tekk Kjörvogi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theodór Almarsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grettir Sigfússon in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Grettir Þorleifsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grettir Þorleifsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sveinþór Ívarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When Grettir Sigfússon came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Greind Þórshöfn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grettir Sigfússon couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reinhart Stígsson was the one to do the kick off. Grettir Sigfússon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, Tekk Kjörvogi's goal looked a bit too open when Kristlaugur Steinsson came free, but Grettir Þorleifsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Greind Þórshöfn's Grettir Sigfússon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Grettir Þorleifsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Grettir Sigfússon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grettir Þorleifsson having to interfere. Kristlaugur Steinsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ástbjörn Tómasson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Greind Þórshöfn booed when Tekk Kjörvogi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fannberg Greipsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grettir Þorleifsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grettir Sigfússon in the 69th minute of play. The supporters of Greind Þórshöfn booed when Tekk Kjörvogi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bergmar Jakobsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Geirlaugur Hákonsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristlaugur Steinsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grettir Þorleifsson came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Greind Þórshöfn's Kristlaugur Steinsson. But to his dismay, Kristlaugur Steinsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 87th minute, Tekk Kjörvogi's Reinhart Stígsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Herfinnur Boðason. Herfinnur Boðason yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. When Grettir Sigfússon came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Greind Þórshöfn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grettir Sigfússon couldn't finish the play. Kristlaugur Steinsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grettir Þorleifsson having to interfere. If Sveinþór Ívarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Grettir Þorleifsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristlaugur Steinsson in the 97th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Greind Þórshöfn had played much better football throughout.
