An unexpectedly hard shot by Goðmundur Sveinsson in the 5th minute of play forced Tetra Kópavogi's goalkeeper Þjóðrekur Kristinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Björgúlfur Svangeirsson kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Saga Hveragerði's Goðmundur Sveinsson. The Tetra Kópavogi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Saga Hveragerði had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
