In the 11th minute, Flórent Örvarsson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Stirnir Egilsson made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Flórent Örvarsson sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the match, Djásn's goal looked a bit too open when Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson came free, but Óttar Hreinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in KFUM Bæ's zone, Flórent Örvarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stirnir Egilsson came out of the goal and Flórent Örvarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Óttar Hreinsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Djásn's zone, Valgarður Björgólfsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óttar Hreinsson came out of the goal and Valgarður Björgólfsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sigurdór Níelsson hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Óttar Hreinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valgarður Björgólfsson in the 33rd minute of the match. Herlaugur Fannarsson hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Valgarður Björgólfsson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Djásn's Óttar Hreinsson. Óttar Hreinsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stirnir Egilsson made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Flórent Örvarsson sent off a good shot on target. The Djásn players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KFUM Bæ were winning 0-1.

When Herlaugur Fannarsson fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Djásn's protests and gave Herlaugur Fannarsson a yellow card for diving instead. Herlaugur Fannarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Barði Samúelsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stirnir Egilsson. KFUM Bæ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barði Samúelsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. KFUM Bæ's Jakop Eðvarsson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Óttar Hreinsson but with some difficulty. In the 75thth minute of the game Barði Samúelsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFUM Bæ's Stirnir Egilsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stirnir Egilsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barði Samúelsson in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óttar Hreinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stirnir Egilsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barði Samúelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 played minutes Djásn got a freekick which was hit by Herlaugur Fannarsson. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. KFUM Bæ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
