Viktor Ingmarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geri Bogason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freysteinn Skaptason, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Andi Vopnafirði's Viktor Ingmarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hallmann Steinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Ingmarsson in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sprakki Flatey's goalkeeper Hallmann Steinsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Viktor Ingmarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Ingmarsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hallmann Steinsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bóas Ásbjörnsson to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Sprakki Flatey's Viðar Darrason got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 54 played minutes Sprakki Flatey got a freekick which was hit by Viðar Darrason. In the 59th minute Bóas Ásbjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geri Bogason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andi Vopnafirði's Viktor Ingmarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hleiðar Aðalmundsson hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Viktor Ingmarsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hallmann Steinsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Viktor Ingmarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Hallmann Steinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Andi Vopnafirði's Tómas Ármannsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hallmann Steinsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Andi Vopnafirði's Eðvald Guðmundsson got a free kick in the 79th minute. When Hárlaugur Sveinsson came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Sprakki Flatey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hárlaugur Sveinsson couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute Bóas Ásbjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geri Bogason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sprakki Flatey's Hallmann Steinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Ingmarsson in the 93rd minute of play. Andi Vopnafirði walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
