The referee ignored Epal Bæ's protests and gave Jörmundur Ingmarsson a yellow card for diving instead. Styrmir Dagfinnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Saxi Oddsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valgarð Valdimarsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franklín Laufarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valgarð Valdimarsson ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valgarð Valdimarsson to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Húnn Ásmundarson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calcio Como's Saxi Oddsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lárus Hansson during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Epal Bæ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Calcio Como:s goal. In the 75th minute there was a penalty for Calcio Como. Beinteinn Snorrason stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Franklín Laufarsson. 3-0. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Valgarð Valdimarsson sped through Epal Bæ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Franklín Laufarsson. After having played for 89 minutes, Valgarð Valdimarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calcio Como's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valgarð Valdimarsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valgarð Valdimarsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franklín Laufarsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Unnar Orrason succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Calcio Como had won after a very even match.
