If Þórlindur Oddvarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dagfinnur Hilmarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gestur Aronsson having to interfere. Ás Kjörvogi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Júrek Logason was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júrek Logason in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Skafti Finnbjörnsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Ás Kjörvogi getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Gunnar Magnþórsson hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Dýri Karlsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ás Kjörvogi's Skafti Finnbjörnsson didn't even have to move. Ás Kjörvogi's Skafti Finnbjörnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bjartmann Sveinþórsson in the 46th minute of play.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júrek Logason to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Dagfinnur Hilmarsson made a precise shot to the right of Gestur Aronsson. Síld Grímsey's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 59th minute, Dagfinnur Hilmarsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute of the match, Bjartmann Sveinþórsson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Skafti Finnbjörnsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 71 minutes into the match, Síld Grímsey's goal looked a bit too open when Dagfinnur Hilmarsson came free, but Gestur Aronsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júrek Logason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Skafti Finnbjörnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, Ás Kjörvogi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rúrik Eyþórsson to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júrek Logason in the 90th minute of play forced Ás Kjörvogi's goalkeeper Skafti Finnbjörnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júrek Logason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Skafti Finnbjörnsson having to interfere. If Júrek Logason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
