Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kolgrímur Víkingsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Lars Georgsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franz Þórðarson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reinar Borgþórsson charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reinar Borgþórsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reinar Borgþórsson hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When Genís Þórshöfn's Áki Elmarsson in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Genís Þórshöfn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Franz Þórðarson took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lars Georgsson. Lars Georgsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 19th minute, Jóngeir Bjarnason hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Loftur Arndórsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lars Georgsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Loftur Arndórsson slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 21st minute. Geisli Magnþórsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Áki Elmarsson's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Grímar Indriðason scored 3-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lars Georgsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd match minute, Flex Garði was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loftur Arndórsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rdth minute of the game Kolgrímur Víkingsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flex Garði's Geisli Magnþórsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Flex Garði's Geisli Magnþórsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Áki Elmarsson in the 35th minute of play. With his leg Lars Georgsson managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Flex Garði's Franz Þórðarson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Franz Þórðarson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Lars Georgsson made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, Flex Garði's Loftur Arndórsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars Georgsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Franz Þórðarson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franz Þórðarson to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Flex Garði's zone, Leon Bergmansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geisli Magnþórsson came out of the goal and Leon Bergmansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Loftur Arndórsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grímar Indriðason might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars Georgsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grímar Indriðason ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Genís Þórshöfn booed when Flex Garði was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigtýr Garpsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Áki Elmarsson notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Flex Garði's Geisli Magnþórsson. Geisli Magnþórsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Flex Garði's Franz Þórðarson in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 85th minute of the match, Þrymur Fjalarsson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Geisli Magnþórsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lars Georgsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinar Borgþórsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loftur Arndórsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Lars Georgsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
