Aríus Dalmarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigurlinni Harðarson in the 26th minute of the match. When Kristfinnur Hauksson fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ýmus Eskifirði's protests and gave Kristfinnur Hauksson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Ýmus Eskifirði was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristfinnur Hauksson to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valtýr Jóhannsson during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ýmus Eskifirði booed when Antik Kópaskeri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valtýr Jóhannsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ýmus Eskifirði's Rósar Eiðsson suffered a sore thigh after 31 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 32nd minute, Hólmbert Sigfússon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sigjón Ketilsson, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Finn Eyjólfsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Ormur Ingólfsson came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Ýmus Eskifirði's Finn Eyjólfsson. But to his dismay, Finn Eyjólfsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 62 minutes into the game, Antik Kópaskeri's Hnefill Guðbergsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aríus Dalmarsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Hnefill Guðbergsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aríus Dalmarsson having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Hnefill Guðbergsson notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Ýmus Eskifirði's Aríus Dalmarsson. Aríus Dalmarsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ýmus Eskifirði's Aríus Dalmarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigurlinni Harðarson in the 73rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hnefill Guðbergsson got free with Aríus Dalmarsson in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigurlinni Harðarson in the 78th minute of play forced Ýmus Eskifirði's goalkeeper Aríus Dalmarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Finn Eyjólfsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ormur Ingólfsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Ýmus Eskifirði's Finn Eyjólfsson got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Finn Eyjólfsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hnefill Guðbergsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Aríus Dalmarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Antik Kópaskeri booed when Ýmus Eskifirði was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arngrímur Karlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ýmus Eskifirði fans cheered their team off the field, for while Antik Kópaskeri had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
