Flóki Þorleifsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Flóki Þorleifsson came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Skarp Bæ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flóki Þorleifsson couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute of the match, Sigurfinnur Másson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Brynþór Ingólfsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Víkingur Rafnkelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skarp Bæ's supporters rose to their feet, but Víkingur Rafnkelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Svanhólm Patreksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Svanhólm Patreksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Víkingur Rafnkelsson in the 37th minute of play. Ríkarður Böðvarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After 43 minutes Djúpivogur's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kornelíus Jafetsson who took care of the corner kick. Sigurfinnur Másson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Brynþór Ingólfsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Víkingur Rafnkelsson was the one to do the kick off. Stígur Elíasson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 51st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brynþór Ingólfsson. Skarp Bæ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Skarp Bæ's goal looked a bit too open when Olivert Andrason came free, but Brynþór Ingólfsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Víkingur Rafnkelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olivert Andrason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flóki Þorleifsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Svanhólm Patreksson made a huge save. Olivert Andrason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brynþór Ingólfsson having to interfere. If Víkingur Rafnkelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sigurfinnur Másson struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Brynþór Ingólfsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Djúpivogur. Flóki Þorleifsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Svanhólm Patreksson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Brynþór Ingólfsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigurfinnur Másson, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Djúpivogur's zone, Flóki Þorleifsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Svanhólm Patreksson came out of the goal and Flóki Þorleifsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
