After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Játgeir Stefánsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orka Öræfi's supporters rose to their feet, but Játgeir Stefánsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Austar Bjargmundarson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Játgeir Stefánsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikolai Harðarson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 13th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Þýsku Tærnar's goalkeeper Austar Bjargmundarson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Siglaugur Ernirsson made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Nikolai Harðarson sent off a good shot on target. After 25 minutes of play, Orka Öræfi's Játgeir Stefánsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Austar Bjargmundarson was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Grani Guðþórsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Austar Bjargmundarson was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Gunnbjörn Jafetsson kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Játgeir Stefánsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Orka Öræfi's zone, Reifnir Ísleifsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Siglaugur Ernirsson came out of the goal and Reifnir Ísleifsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nikolai Harðarson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siglaugur Ernirsson having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikolai Harðarson got free with Siglaugur Ernirsson in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Siglaugur Ernirsson was a little too slow when Nikolai Harðarson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 53rd minute, Reifnir Ísleifsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grani Guðþórsson hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Nikolai Harðarson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siglaugur Ernirsson having to interfere. Seifur Skúlason charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seifur Skúlason the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Seifur Skúlason kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Grani Guðþórsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Austar Bjargmundarson having to interfere. If Grani Guðþórsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Játgeir Stefánsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th match minute, Orka Öræfi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjarnhéðinn Sævarsson to maneuver through the defense. Játgeir Stefánsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Austar Bjargmundarson came out and tried to block the shot, but Játgeir Stefánsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 96th minute.
