Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dagþór Björnsson started the match with the kick off. SÍF Vogum's Vöggur Kjaransson got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kristinn Sturluson during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 minutes, Arnoddur Einvarðsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SÍF Vogum and the Ístel players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes SÍF Vogum got a freekick which was hit by Arnoddur Einvarðsson. In the 16th match minute, Ístel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sólbjartur Sveinsson to maneuver through the defense. Garðar Jósefsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vöggur Kjaransson in the 19th minute of the match. When SÍF Vogum's Ísar Birgisson in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ístel's goalie prevented a goal. Hróbjartur Hinriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dagþór Björnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Lár Dagbjartsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Ístel's Dagþór Björnsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vöggur Kjaransson made a kick off. In the 58th minute of the match, Vöggur Kjaransson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Garðar Jósefsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Ístel's zone, Vöggur Kjaransson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garðar Jósefsson came out of the goal and Vöggur Kjaransson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ísar Birgisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garðar Jósefsson having to interfere. Hróbjartur Hinriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lár Dagbjartsson having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Dagþór Björnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the game, one of SÍF Vogum:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Ístel. Sólbjartur Sveinsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lár Dagbjartsson. 2-0. Lár Dagbjartsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hróbjartur Hinriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hróbjartur Hinriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lár Dagbjartsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagþór Björnsson in the 97th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ístel had won after a very even match.
