If Birnir Þórarinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theodór Játmundsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Embla Dalvík's goalkeeper Snælaugur Andrason, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vésteinn Eyjólfsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigursteinn Unnsteinsson having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Pixill's Theodór Játmundsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Snælaugur Andrason narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Theodór Játmundsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Snælaugur Andrason having to interfere. In the last second Snælaugur Andrason throw himself and got hold of the ball when Theodór Játmundsson in the 34thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In a very dangerous position, a player in Embla Dalvík fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! After having played for 41 minutes, Benedikt Larsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Embla Dalvík's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedikt Larsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Vésteinn Eyjólfsson made a precise shot to the right of Sigursteinn Unnsteinsson. Pixill's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vésteinn Eyjólfsson in the 46th minute of play forced Pixill's goalkeeper Sigursteinn Unnsteinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Birnir Þórarinsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Snælaugur Andrason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birnir Þórarinsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Snælaugur Andrason having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theodór Játmundsson in the 58th minute of play forced Embla Dalvík's goalkeeper Snælaugur Andrason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sigursteinn Unnsteinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedikt Larsson in the 63rd minute of the match. Vésteinn Eyjólfsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Sigursteinn Unnsteinsson made a huge save. Pixill's Sigursteinn Unnsteinsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Pixill from getting a goal against them. If Theodór Játmundsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hannes Geirfinnsson during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Embla Dalvík booed when Pixill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Geirfinnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vésteinn Eyjólfsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Embla Dalvík's Benedikt Larsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sigursteinn Unnsteinsson. Sigursteinn Unnsteinsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Embla Dalvík's Benedikt Larsson got a free kick in the 81st minute. Vésteinn Eyjólfsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigursteinn Unnsteinsson having to interfere. In the 88th minute Benedikt Larsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigursteinn Unnsteinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sigursteinn Unnsteinsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vésteinn Eyjólfsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 89 minute of play.
