Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hængur Fannarsson got the match started through his kick off. Árís Mjóifirði's Bjartur Magnússon pulled a muscle in his back after 3 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 3 minutes, Berghreinn Þórsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nestor Bæ and the Árís Mjóifirði players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Nestor Bæ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berghreinn Þórsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute of the match Áki Hjörvarsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Óttarr Hákonsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elberg Kolbeinsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Þórir Sigurkarlsson came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Árís Mjóifirði fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Þórir Sigurkarlsson couldn't finish the play. Gils Þengilsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elberg Kolbeinsson in the 21st minute of play. Erlar Brynjólfsson kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Hængur Fannarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Óttarr Hákonsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Árís Mjóifirði's Hængur Fannarsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Óttarr Hákonsson. That made the score 1-0 after 32 minutes of play. Úlfhéðinn Þorrason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hængur Fannarsson in the 38th minute of play forced Nestor Bæ's goalkeeper Óttarr Hákonsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hængur Fannarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Óttarr Hákonsson having to interfere. Kolur Oddgeirsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
The wind increased when Úlfhéðinn Þorrason made the kick off in the second half. Erlar Brynjólfsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Gils Þengilsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Úlfhéðinn Þorrason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gils Þengilsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elberg Kolbeinsson in the 55th minute. When Þórir Sigurkarlsson fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Árís Mjóifirði's protests and gave Þórir Sigurkarlsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Þórir Sigurkarlsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Árís Mjóifirði's Gils Þengilsson got control of the ball when Elberg Kolbeinsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Úlfhéðinn Þorrason came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Nestor Bæ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Úlfhéðinn Þorrason couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, Elberg Kolbeinsson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gils Þengilsson, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Nestor Bæ booed when Árís Mjóifirði was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Þórir Sigurkarlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gils Þengilsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Úlfhéðinn Þorrason in the 72nd minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Árís Mjóifirði fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! 83 minutes into the match, Árís Mjóifirði's goal looked a bit too open when Úlfhéðinn Þorrason came free, but Gils Þengilsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 played minutes Árís Mjóifirði got a freekick which was hit by Þórir Sigurkarlsson. After 94 played minutes Árís Mjóifirði got a freekick which was hit by Kolur Oddgeirsson.
