Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Magnþór Sverrisson kicked off to start the match. Hafni Eilífsson kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Methúsalem Þorrason's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Guðmann Andrason skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 6 minutes into the match, Vilbergur Darrason notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Breiðdalsvík's Sólon Pálsson. Sólon Pálsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 9 played minutes Breiðdalsvík got a freekick which was hit by Ástbjörn Daníelsson. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vilbergur Darrason during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vilbergur Darrason hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Svanþór Skaptason ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sólon Pálsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Optima Akranesi's goalkeeper Guðmann Andrason, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot 31 in the game by Bjólan Tryggvason from a close distance when the talented Guðmann Andrason managed to make a qualified save. Optima Akranesi's players were relieved. Optima Akranesi's Gústav Sverrisson suffered a concussion in the 35th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Sæþór Tómasson 's late challenge caught a Optima Akranesi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sæþór Tómasson helped the player get up and apologised. Sæþór Tómasson kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Bergfinnur Almarsson in the 38th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Sólon Pálsson's left hand side. Bjólan Tryggvason kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Askur Snæfinnsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guðmann Andrason. Askur Snæfinnsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Magnþór Sverrisson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Guðmann Andrason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 minutes, Styrmir Hreinsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Optima Akranesi and the Breiðdalsvík players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Breiðdalsvík booed when Optima Akranesi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Styrmir Hreinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reidar Högnason shot a long shot in the 61st minute and a light blocked Guðmann Andrason hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 3-2. Magnþór Sverrisson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Methúsalem Þorrason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Guðmann Andrason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Methúsalem Þorrason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 78th minute, Breiðdalsvík's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vilbergur Darrason fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Magnþór Sverrisson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Methúsalem Þorrason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Magnþór Sverrisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guðmann Andrason having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Vilbergur Darrason managed to get in a good position for a shot. Optima Akranesi's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilbergur Darrason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sólon Pálsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Svanþór Skaptason struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Sólon Pálsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Optima Akranesi. Vilbergur Darrason's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sólon Pálsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. If Magnþór Sverrisson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Optima Akranesi players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Breiðdalsvík from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
