The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 35th match minute, Šumadija FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radmilo Kikić to maneuver through the defense. Vukašin Drinić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jugomir Sovrlić in the 42nd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mihajlo Pečenić to make the kick off. Vukašin Drinić didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Jugomir Sovrlić might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vukašin Drinić. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jugomir Sovrlić ran back to his position shaking his head. Mihajlo Pečenić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vukašin Drinić having to interfere. In the 66thth minute of the game Rajko Ceraković who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Badnjevac OFK's Budisav Borovčanin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mihajlo Pečenić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Vukašin Drinić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Badnjevac OFK's Budisav Borovčanin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ljuba Vranković in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Šumadija FK booed when Badnjevac OFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atanasije Milojević didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mihajlo Pečenić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vukašin Drinić having to interfere. Rajko Ceraković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Ljuba Vranković ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Budisav Borovčanin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihajlo Pečenić in the 89th minute of play forced Šumadija FK's goalkeeper Vukašin Drinić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 played minutes Badnjevac OFK got a freekick which was hit by Atanasije Milojević. Budisav Borovčanin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rajko Ceraković, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Rajko Ceraković struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Budisav Borovčanin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Šumadija FK. After 96 minutes, Slaviša Milivojević mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Šumadija FK and the Badnjevac OFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Slaviša Milivojević hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Šumadija FK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
