Radovan Kamaljević took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Novak Marjanović. Zemun FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cvijan Cvetičanin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Todor Stjepović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. When Vuk Stojčić came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Zemun FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vuk Stojčić couldn't finish the play. If Vuk Stojčić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 14 played minutes Novi Sad got a freekick which was hit by Kirilo Brezančić. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Vuk Stojčić put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Todor Stjepović. After 26 played minutes Zemun FK got a freekick which was hit by Kirilo Markus. 31 minutes into the match, Novi Sad's Momčilo Pajović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Novak Marjanović narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Kirilo Brezančić fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novi Sad's protests and gave Kirilo Brezančić a yellow card for diving instead. Kirilo Brezančić kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Radovan Kamaljević, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Zoran Nosović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Novak Marjanović having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vuk Stojčić in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Todor Stjepović saved Novi Sad from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Todor Stjepović was a little too slow when Vuk Stojčić got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-2. Novak Marjanović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Momčilo Pajović, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Momčilo Pajović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Pavle Bašić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Novi Sad's goalkeeper Todor Stjepović had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cvijan Cvetičanin. Cvijan Cvetičanin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zoran Nosović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Novak Marjanović having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Vuk Stojčić took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Todor Stjepović to make any attempt to save it. After 91 minutes, Filiman Zafirovski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Novi Sad and the Zemun FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st match minute, Novi Sad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiman Zafirovski to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Filiman Zafirovski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Zemun FK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
