Blagoje Tiodorović started the match with the kick off. Momčilo Savanović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dejan Donković, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Banatski Dvor's Dejan Donković got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gornja Toplica's Momčilo Savanović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dejan Donković in the 16th minute of play. Vukašin Aksentijević took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Svetozar Kalanović. Banatski Dvor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Relja Kolarević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Gornja Toplica's Blagoje Tiodorović dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 35th minute of the match Živanko Stojmenov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Momčilo Savanović skillfully saved the ball. Svetozar Kalanović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blagoje Tiodorović in the 40th minute of the match. Dejan Donković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Gornja Toplica defense, Radoslav Divanović kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Momčilo Savanović. The Gornja Toplica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Momčilo Savanović should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dejan Donković was the one to do the kick off. Gornja Toplica's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dejan Donković 67 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. In the 74th minute of the match, Dejan Donković tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Momčilo Savanović saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Relja Kolarević received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Svetozar Kalanović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dejan Donković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Radoslav Divanović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Relja Kolarević in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Svetozar Kalanović prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Relja Kolarević's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Svetozar Kalanović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute Blagoje Tiodorović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Svetozar Kalanović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Relja Kolarević managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gornja Toplica's supporters rose to their feet, but Relja Kolarević was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Svetozar Kalanović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Banatski Dvor's goalkeeper Svetozar Kalanović, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Gornja Toplica supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Banatski Dvor's performance. The match ended with a win for Banatski Dvor.
