An unexpectedly hard shot by Dejan Donković in the 4th minute of play forced Vajska OFK's goalkeeper Vitomir Tasković to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Radoslav Divanović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vitomir Tasković. Vajska OFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radoslav Divanović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 17 played minutes Banatski Dvor got a freekick which was hit by Živanko Stojmenov. Anđelko Vukajlović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Vajska OFK booed when Banatski Dvor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davor Mihajlović didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vajska OFK's Anđelko Vukajlović got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Dejan Donković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dejan Donković recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 37 minutes, Radoslav Divanović managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banatski Dvor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radoslav Divanović was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Radosav Šaranović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Svetozar Kalanović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Svetozar Kalanović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radosav Šaranović, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radosav Šaranović in the 43rd minute of play forced Banatski Dvor's goalkeeper Svetozar Kalanović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Anđelko Vukajlović came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Vajska OFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anđelko Vukajlović couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dejan Donković to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes, Vajska OFK's Stepan Ćetković shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Svetozar Kalanović came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vajska OFK reached it. Vajska OFK's Vitomir Tasković played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dejan Donković in the 57th minute of play. Svetozar Kalanović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anđelko Vukajlović in the 61st minute of the match. Živan Đušić hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Dejan Donković managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banatski Dvor's supporters rose to their feet, but Dejan Donković was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitomir Tasković breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Radoslav Divanović struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Vitomir Tasković didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Banatski Dvor. If Radoslav Divanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dejan Donković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitomir Tasković having to interfere. If Radoslav Divanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Vajska OFK getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Stepan Ćetković hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Banatski Dvor's goalkeeper Svetozar Kalanović had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radosav Šaranović. In the 87th match minute, Banatski Dvor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davor Mihajlović to maneuver through the defense. Anđelko Vukajlović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Živan Đušić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vajska OFK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
