Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Živko Nićiforović in the 9th minute of play forced Martonoš FK's goalkeeper Jevrem Janjuš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Martonoš FK's goal looked a bit too open when Živko Nićiforović came free, but Jevrem Janjuš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Martonoš FK getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Dragoslav Nikolajević hit a great ball. Srećko Bokić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Negoslav Topić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Слобода's goal looked a bit too open when Milija Ćetić came free, but Negoslav Topić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jevrem Janjuš made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tatomir Milićev in the 29th minute. Jevrem Janjuš showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Živko Nićiforović, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 36th minute, Martonoš FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tatomir Milićev fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Živko Nićiforović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Boris Stanimirović ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Negoslav Topić was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Srećko Bokić in the 45th minute of play forced Слобода's goalkeeper Negoslav Topić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

55 minutes into the match, Martonoš FK's goal looked a bit too open when Tatomir Milićev came free, but Jevrem Janjuš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Živko Nićiforović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jevrem Janjuš having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Слобода's Desimir Dunđer got a free kick in the 57th minute. Martonoš FK's Jevrem Janjuš played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tatomir Milićev in the 68th minute of play. Jevrem Janjuš made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tatomir Milićev in the 70th minute of play. Слобода's Negoslav Topić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milija Ćetić in the 71st minute of play. Srećko Bokić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 73rd minute, Rastko Gegić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Martonoš FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The supporters of Martonoš FK booed when Слобода was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desimir Dunđer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tatomir Opačić took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Negoslav Topić. Слобода's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Boris Stanimirović notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Слобода's Negoslav Topić. Negoslav Topić was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute, Dragoslav Nikolajević hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Слобода's Tatomir Milićev in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Martonoš FK's goalie prevented a goal. Dragoje Mijušković kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Слобода defense, Boris Stanimirović kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Negoslav Topić. The Слобода fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Negoslav Topić should have stopped the shot.
