In the 43rd minute, Cvetomir Ognjanović got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Ðurađ Andrić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gavrilo Postin was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Negovan Stasić to strike the kick off in the second half. Azanja OFK's Nebojša Vitošević got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cvetomir Ognjanović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fedor Gecić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Negovan Stasić, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute.
