Priboj OFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tihomir Ašćerić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jevta Mijanović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Novak Vidljinović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tihomir Ašćerić struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Novak Vidljinović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Priboj OFK. Novak Vidljinović made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Jevta Mijanović sent off a good shot on target. If Jevta Mijanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tihomir Ašćerić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Novak Vidljinović having to interfere. Jevta Mijanović's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Novak Vidljinović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Priboj OFK's Novak Vidljinović threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tihomir Ašćerić, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 27th minute, Tihomir Ašćerić made a precise shot to the right of Novak Vidljinović. Pirot's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Tihomir Ašćerić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Stevan Danojević managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirot's supporters rose to their feet, but Stevan Danojević was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milijan Pavlović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Tihomir Ašćerić made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Jevta Mijanović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Novak Vidljinović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tihomir Ašćerić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Jevta Mijanović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Novak Vidljinović. Pirot's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jevta Mijanović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 61 minutes into the match, Jevta Mijanović notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Pirot's Novak Vidljinović. Novak Vidljinović was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tihomir Ašćerić in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Novak Vidljinović saved Pirot from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Pirot's Vukan Ranđelović got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Jevta Mijanović made a precise shot to the right of Novak Vidljinović. Pirot's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Novak Vidljinović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tihomir Ašćerić, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Pirot's Novak Vidljinović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jevta Mijanović in the 82nd minute of play. Jevta Mijanović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Novak Vidljinović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tihomir Ašćerić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pirot's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
