In the 3rd match minute, Podunavlje FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Srbobran Maksimović to maneuver through the defense. Feđa Gunj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Stojko Ivanović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Podunavlje FK defense, Srbobran Miličić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stojko Ivanović. The Podunavlje FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stojko Ivanović should have stopped the shot. Feđa Gunj hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Bela Palanka FK's Srbobran Miličić got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Srbobran Miličić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Stojko Ivanović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Milinko Mešter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Voja Zimonjić fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bela Palanka FK's protests and gave Voja Zimonjić a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bela Palanka FK's Voja Zimonjić got a free kick in the 31st minute. Srbobran Maksimović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Podunavlje FK's Stojko Ivanović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Podunavlje FK from getting a goal against them. Leo Vidović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Srbobran Maksimović in the 40th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Luka Begović ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leo Vidović was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Srbobran Maksimović was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Srbobran Maksimović in the 52nd minute of play forced Bela Palanka FK's goalkeeper Leo Vidović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Gojko Kecman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luka Begović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Leo Vidović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Srbobran Maksimović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Podunavlje FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Srbobran Maksimović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leo Vidović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Voja Zimonjić was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Podunavlje FK booed when Bela Palanka FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Voja Zimonjić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Nenad Karličić shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leo Vidović showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Bela Palanka FK's goal looked a bit too open when Luka Begović came free, but Leo Vidović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stojiljko Bukvić charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stojiljko Bukvić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, Stojiljko Bukvić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feđa Gunj during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Podunavlje FK booed when Bela Palanka FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feđa Gunj didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luka Begović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Leo Vidović made a huge save. If Srbobran Maksimović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes, Nenad Karličić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Podunavlje FK and the Bela Palanka FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th minute, one of Podunavlje FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Podunavlje FK. After 97 played minutes Bela Palanka FK got a freekick which was hit by Feđa Gunj. In the 100th minute Podunavlje FK were awarded a corner. Nenad Karličić went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Nenad Karličić almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bela Palanka FK's Leo Vidović did a great save. Podunavlje FK's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Bela Palanka FK had won, even though Podunavlje FK had held more of the ball.
