After 4 played minutes Whitton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Branislav Petronijević. A collision led to Thamesmead getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Mijailo Vlajić hit a great ball. In the 13th minute Alen Saletić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dragiša Ševaljević saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Pantelija Milonjić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dragiša Ševaljević was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Dragiša Ševaljević showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pantelija Milonjić in the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of Whitton AFC booed when Thamesmead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordan Tomanić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute of the match Milovan Banović shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dragiša Ševaljević showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Whitton AFC booed when Thamesmead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordan Tomanić didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Eldar Pejaković cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dragiša Ševaljević was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thamesmead's Dragiša Ševaljević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eldar Pejaković in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 played minutes Thamesmead got a freekick which was hit by Mijailo Vlajić. In the 37th minute, Pantelija Milonjić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Whitton AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eldar Pejaković in the 39th minute of play forced Thamesmead's goalkeeper Dragiša Ševaljević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eldar Pejaković in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dragiša Ševaljević prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute, Mijailo Vlajić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Thamesmead's Savić Šekularac got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half Whitton AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Milorad Todić stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Whitton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Šerbo Nesterović came free, but Tanasije Saletić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikola Radan hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Šerbo Nesterović blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tanasije Saletić having to make a save. When Nikola Radan fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Whitton AFC's protests and gave Nikola Radan a yellow card for diving instead. Nikola Radan kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Dragiša Ševaljević made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Eldar Pejaković sent off a good shot on target. If Pantelija Milonjić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Thamesmead getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Savić Šekularac hit a great ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Pantelija Milonjić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitton AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pantelija Milonjić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Šerbo Nesterović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanasije Saletić having to interfere. Pantelija Milonjić struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Dragiša Ševaljević didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitton AFC. Branislav Petronijević hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Tanasije Saletić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milorad Todić, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
