In the 12th minute, Leo Nedović ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramo Spajić was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vukman Vranješ during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Harleston's Vidosav Nikolovski was substituted for Sreten Ćurčić. Vukman Vranješ hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Šaćir Rakić sped through Gatwick's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dražen Aćimović. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vukman Vranješ got free with Ramo Spajić in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aco Mudreša in the 64th minute of play forced Gatwick's goalkeeper Dražen Aćimović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vukman Vranješ could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Ramo Spajić made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Leo Nedović kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ramo Spajić. That made the score 2-3 in the 70 minute of play. Harleston were furious when Rastko Stamatović was red carded, 73 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle.
