Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vincent Morcom started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Berwick Upon Tweed's Dave Froggatt got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Vincent Morcom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cressage's supporters rose to their feet, but Vincent Morcom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Deakin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trev Frampton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ralf Crittenden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Cressage defense, Trev Frampton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ralf Crittenden. The Cressage fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ralf Crittenden should have stopped the shot. Oscar Deakin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lennie Rouse in the 25th minute. After 25 played minutes Berwick Upon Tweed got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Thorne. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Vincent Morcom got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ralf Crittenden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dave Froggatt's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Dave Froggatt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berwick Upon Tweed's supporters rose to their feet, but Dave Froggatt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralf Crittenden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Trev Frampton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oscar Deakin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Morcom in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lennie Rouse got free with Oscar Deakin in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ralf Crittenden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trev Frampton, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Trev Frampton to make the kick off. Ralf Crittenden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trev Frampton in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Luke Thurman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cressage's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berwick Upon Tweed the free kick. A collision led to Cressage getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Luke Thurman hit a great ball. In the 56th minute Trev Frampton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Crittenden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lennie Rouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Vincent Morcom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Deakin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Berwick Upon Tweed's zone, Vincent Morcom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Deakin came out of the goal and Vincent Morcom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Deakin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennie Rouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Oscar Deakin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Morcom in the 74th minute of the match. When Lennie Rouse came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Cressage fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lennie Rouse couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes into the game, Joseph Thorne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
