In the 3rd minute, Tim Amos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radomir Ljuca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Robin Monk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robin Monk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomir Ljuca, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Robin Monk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomir Ljuca in the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of Dorking United booed when Howden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vidoje Kujundžić didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Syd Kingston in the 24th minute of play forced Howden's goalkeeper Antonio Tošković to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Radomir Ljuca reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Robin Monk. The goal made the score 2-0. If Syd Kingston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Radomir Ljuca was extremely unlucky when he, in the 33rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Husein Dragićević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Monk having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tim Amos during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tim Amos kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Dorking United's zone, Husein Dragićević stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robin Monk came out of the goal and Husein Dragićević tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Husein Dragićević sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Radomir Ljuca to make the kick off. Howden's Radomir Ljuca got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bart Burns struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Antonio Tošković didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dorking United. In the 73rd minute, Radomir Ljuca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Howden fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Howden's zone, Ian Marchant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Tošković came out of the goal and Ian Marchant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Howden's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ian Marchant fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Howden's Antonio Tošković played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Syd Kingston in the 95th minute of play. Antonio Tošković made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Ian Marchant sent off a good shot on target. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Howden's goalkeeper Antonio Tošković, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Howden were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Dorking United for a fine match.
