Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Drudwas Harden got the match started through his kick off. Maesteg FC's Melkin Keelan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Maesteg FC from getting a goal against them. Romney Teamster took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cadwaladr Jones. Cadwaladr Jones dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Romney Teamster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Irvin Leslie kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Melkin Keelan. That made the score 2-1 in the 17 minute of play. If Irvin Leslie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 29th minute Irvin Leslie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melkin Keelan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes Maesteg FC got a freekick which was hit by Drudwas Harden. In the 43rd minute Drudwas Harden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cadwaladr Jones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes Maesteg FC got a freekick which was hit by Aeddan Clerk. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a defensive mix-up in Maesteg FC's zone, Irvin Leslie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melkin Keelan came out of the goal and Irvin Leslie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melkin Keelan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eudav Cottrell in the 59th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Drudwas Harden kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cadwaladr Jones. That made the score 2-2 in the 62 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Irvin Leslie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ely FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Irvin Leslie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melkin Keelan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Drudwas Harden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Cadwaladr Jones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 83 minutes, Sulien Hughlett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maesteg FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sulien Hughlett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ely FC's goalkeeper Cadwaladr Jones, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Irvin Leslie struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Melkin Keelan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ely FC. When Drudwas Harden fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maesteg FC's protests and gave Drudwas Harden a yellow card for diving instead.
