Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Parry Cole started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Maesteg getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Mael Hadley hit a great ball. Clud Wainwright took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Parry Cole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gandwy Brook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bogart Clark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Parry Cole hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Abergele Utd defense, Gandwy Brook kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clud Wainwright. The Abergele Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clud Wainwright should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Gorsedd Folk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Maesteg's zone, Bogart Clark stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dinadan Eckles came out of the goal and Bogart Clark tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clud Wainwright showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Parry Cole, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gorsedd Folk to make the kick off. Clud Wainwright showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Parry Cole in the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Gandwy Brook left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maesteg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Gorsedd Folk came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Abergele Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gorsedd Folk couldn't finish the play. Gandwy Brook received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Clud Wainwright tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Pedr Inger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maesteg and the Abergele Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Abergele Utd booed when Maesteg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedr Inger didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amaethon Flattery during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st minute, Amaethon Flattery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 90 minutes, Bogart Clark managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abergele Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bogart Clark was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clud Wainwright came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Maesteg's Gandwy Brook. But to his dismay, Gandwy Brook quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After 96 played minutes Maesteg got a freekick which was hit by Tristram Bellew. For all the effort they put into the match, the Abergele Utd players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Maesteg.
