Bridgend FC's Cairn Hassett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Bridgend FC from getting a goal against them. Mabon Jolson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baddon Glazier in the 13th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes Bridgend FC got a freekick which was hit by Price Armstrong. The supporters of UWA Bridgend booed when Bridgend FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Price Armstrong didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st match minute, Bridgend FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Price Armstrong to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Lavaine Goodman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cairn Hassett was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a rather tough play, UWA Bridgend's Baudwin Kitts got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute Myrddin Beers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cairn Hassett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Bridgend FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Tremayne Blackadder hit a great ball. UWA Bridgend's Mabon Jolson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save UWA Bridgend from getting a goal against them. Cairn Hassett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lavaine Goodman, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Price Armstrong's late challenge caught a UWA Bridgend's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Price Armstrong helped the player get up and apologised. After 64 played minutes Bridgend FC got a freekick which was hit by Price Armstrong. Mabon Jolson came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Bridgend FC's Garnock Collier. But to his dismay, Garnock Collier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Myrddin Beers in the 70th minute of play forced Bridgend FC's goalkeeper Cairn Hassett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Lavaine Goodman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cairn Hassett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Cadfael Canada fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mabon Jolson, passed just outside the right post. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for UWA Bridgend! The goalkeeper, Mabon Jolson, was totally fooled by Bridgend FC's Anwar Gates, who 82 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 86 played minutes UWA Bridgend got a freekick which was hit by Pennar Aykroyd. Bridgend FC were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after UWA Bridgend's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anwar Gates took the corner. After taking down the ball on Bridgend FC's corner Anwar Gates fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mabon Jolson quite easily take care of the ball. In the 91st match minute, Bridgend FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anwar Gates to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Cadfael Canada got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Bridgend FC booed when UWA Bridgend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lleu Cain didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bridgend FC's Baddon Glazier in the 100th minute got a chance for a shot 100th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UWA Bridgend's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bridgend FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
