Anynnawg Leaper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nissyen Hanson's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Pedr Wainwright showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tegvan Jeeves, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Kenyon Ingoldsby hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kynwal Gillett got free with Pedr Wainwright in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedr Wainwright didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kynwal Gillett went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to UWA Presteigne getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Addolgar Alvey hit a great ball. UWA Presteigne's Anynnawg Leaper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nissyen Hanson in the 41st minute of play. When Lovel Inger fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newport's protests and gave Lovel Inger a yellow card for diving instead. Lovel Inger hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. A collision led to Newport getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Nissyen Hanson hit a great ball. In the 48th minute Tegvan Jeeves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedr Wainwright saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nissyen Hanson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nissyen Hanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Anynnawg Leaper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anynnawg Leaper made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Lovel Inger sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenyon Ingoldsby during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of UWA Presteigne booed when Newport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenyon Ingoldsby didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th match minute, Newport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Granwen Emmett to maneuver through the defense. Anynnawg Leaper made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Lovel Inger sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute Nissyen Hanson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anynnawg Leaper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kynwal Gillett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedr Wainwright showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tegvan Jeeves in the 77th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Presteigne's zone, Lovel Inger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anynnawg Leaper came out of the goal and Lovel Inger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lovel Inger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Lovel Inger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Addolgar Alvey might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedr Wainwright. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Addolgar Alvey ran back to his position shaking his head. Newport's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because UWA Presteigne had won, even though Newport had held more of the ball.
