An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwallter Blake in the 21st minute of play forced Barry Utd's goalkeeper Nerth Gately to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Barry Utd's Davis Connell got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Gwallter Blake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Conwy Lennox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

If Conwy Lennox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nentres Deanly took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bleddyn Hooper. UWA Penarth's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to UWA Penarth getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. In the 91st minute, Barry Utd's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gwallter Blake fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The UWA Penarth players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
