An unexpectedly hard shot by Llwyr Kilkelly in the 10th minute of play forced Skewen's goalkeeper Garselid Carver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corryn Cundall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waljan Eckles in the 12th minute. Garselid Carver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tremayne Brothers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 played minutes Skewen got a freekick which was hit by Taffy Gladwin. With a little luck, Aberystwyth FC's Corryn Cundall got control of the ball when Calder Laing tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tremayne Brothers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tremayne Brothers couldn't finish the play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the game, Dywel Burleson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aberystwyth FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skewen the free kick. After 95 played minutes Aberystwyth FC got a freekick which was hit by Dywel Burleson. In the 96th minute Maddock Heany shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corryn Cundall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Aberystwyth FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
