Baglan's Eudav Edmund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Drew Doney in the 20th minute of play. Eudav Edmund made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Cadwgawn Kinealy sent off a good shot on target. Edern Elkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gandwy Hawker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Cadeyrn Donald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caerleon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cadeyrn Donald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bran Lormer in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gandwy Hawker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cadeyrn Donald got free with Eudav Edmund in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edern Elkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gandwy Hawker having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Caerleon FC's Drew Doney nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eudav Edmund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

55 minutes into the match, Bran Lormer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gandwy Hawker. Caerleon FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bran Lormer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Cadwgawn Kinealy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gandwy Hawker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bran Lormer in the 62nd minute of play. When Pryderi Chase came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Baglan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pryderi Chase couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute, Drew Doney left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caerleon FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a rather tough play, Caerleon FC's Dinadan Slater got a free kick in the 74th minute. Edern Elkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gandwy Hawker having to interfere. The supporters of Baglan booed when Caerleon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinadan Slater didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bran Lormer in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gandwy Hawker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cadfael Brackeen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eudav Edmund. Baglan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Caerleon FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Baglan for a fine match.
