Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carnedyr Connery started the match with the kick off. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Carnedyr Connery sped through Ely's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ysgawyn Kavanagh. Ysgawyn Kavanagh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwydion Luce in the 8th minute of play. Ceithin Eaton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Gwydion Gain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Gwydion Luce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ysgawyn Kavanagh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carnedyr Connery's late challenge caught a Ely's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carnedyr Connery helped the player get up and apologised. Modred Farley scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gwydion Gain, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Carmarthen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Carmarthen:s Gwydion Gain showed great skill when he stopped Modred Farley:s penalty. Govannon Glidden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gwydion Gain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ysgawyn Kavanagh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carnedyr Connery in the 28th minute of the match. Carmarthen's Gwydion Gain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwalchmei Jarvis in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Ely booed when Carmarthen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Govannon Denton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ceithin Eaton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Gwydion Gain made a huge save. In the 39thth minute of the game Carnedyr Connery who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ely's Ysgawyn Kavanagh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Carnedyr Connery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Modred Farley made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Gwalchmei Jarvis notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Carmarthen's Gwydion Gain. Gwydion Gain was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gwydion Luce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Ysgawyn Kavanagh made a huge save. Carnedyr Connery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gwydion Luce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ysgawyn Kavanagh having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Carmarthen's Cadoc Muleskinner got a free kick in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, Carmarthen's Colwyn Loody got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Gwalchmei Jarvis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gwydion Luce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ysgawyn Kavanagh made a huge save. Gwydion Gain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceithin Eaton in the 75th minute of play. Gwydion Gain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwalchmei Jarvis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rhain Harley hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. When Ely's Gwalchmei Jarvis in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carmarthen's goalie prevented a goal. Gwydion Gain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceithin Eaton, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Gwydion Gain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwalchmei Jarvis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Carmarthen's Colwyn Loody got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After a rather tough play, Carmarthen's Carnedyr Connery got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 86 minutes of play, Ely's Gwyglet Garth made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gwydion Gain was left in no man's land by his defense there! 90 minutes into the game, Gwalchmei Jarvis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Gwydion Gain was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modred Farley in the 96th minute of play forced Carmarthen's goalkeeper Gwydion Gain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ely had played much better football throughout.
