The supporters of Hereford City booed when Chester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salah Belhaj Souayah didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Chester City defense, Hamza Braiek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Najeh Jennet. The Chester City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Najeh Jennet should have stopped the shot. Adel Hammami showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamed Cherif in the 31st minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmed Radhouani couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hereford City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
