The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bernard Ghodbane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ash's zone, Oussama Dhaouadi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Houcine Jouili came out of the goal and Oussama Dhaouadi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ali Benachour hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Moez Braham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Najeh Moatamri, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Oussama Dhaouadi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Leytonstone City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Mohamed Mouaia Mzali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Houcine Jouili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ash's Hedhili Attouga got a free kick in the 20th minute. Moez Braham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Ghodbane , who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Houcine Jouili came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Leytonstone City's Oussama Dhaouadi. But to his dismay, Oussama Dhaouadi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 34 played minutes Ash got a freekick which was hit by Hedhili Attouga. In the 35th minute, Oussama Dhaouadi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernard Ghodbane blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Moez Braham having to make a save. Moez Braham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Ghodbane in the 41st minute of play. Najeh Moatamri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moez Braham having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Najeh Moatamri was the one to do the kick off. If Bernard Ghodbane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernard Ghodbane 's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Moez Braham skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Moez Braham managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Ash's Bernard Ghodbane fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 84 minutes into the match, Ash's Bernard Ghodbane sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Moez Braham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hedhili Attouga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Moez Braham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Najeh Moatamri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
