Lotfi Ben Ammar charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lotfi Ben Ammar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Witney City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lotfi Ben Ammar to maneuver through the defense. Kaies Hedi Jedidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Borhene Sboui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. David Karoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Witney City's zone, Kaies Hedi Jedidi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hatem Makhlouf came out of the goal and Kaies Hedi Jedidi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 played minutes Witney City got a freekick which was hit by Lassaad Dhouib. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borhene Sboui in the 26th minute of play forced New Romney FC's goalkeeper David Karoui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. New Romney FC's David Karoui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Borhene Sboui in the 29th minute of play. David Karoui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raouf Naybet 's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. If Raouf Naybet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radhi Jaouachi's late challenge caught a Witney City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radhi Jaouachi helped the player get up and apologised. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Borhene Sboui stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Borhene Sboui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Karoui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Hassan Adhoum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Borhene Sboui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Witney City's supporters rose to their feet, but Borhene Sboui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Karoui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Borhene Sboui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Karoui having to interfere. Raouf Naybet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. New Romney FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Borhene Sboui 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Kaies Hedi Jedidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hatem Makhlouf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hassan Adhoum in the 87th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Kaies Hedi Jedidi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hassan Adhoum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Hatem Makhlouf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The New Romney FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Witney City's performance. The match ended with a win for Witney City.
