In the 6thth minute of the game Hassan Adhoum who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blackburn's Rachid Belkahia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rashid Meriah was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 8th minute. Blackburn's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 10th minute, Rashid Meriah reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Karoui. The goal made the score 1-0. Rachid Belkahia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hassan Adhoum , who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Hassan Adhoum 's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rachid Belkahia was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Blackburn's Rachid Belkahia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hassan Adhoum in the 20th minute of play. But to his dismay, Mohamed Nefzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 44th minute, Kaies Hedi Jedidi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Blackburn's Riadh Ragued got a free kick in the 45th minute. If Hassan Adhoum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hassan Adhoum to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hadj Salem Mestiri during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kaies Hedi Jedidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Belkahia having to interfere.
