If Noureddine Akid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Ahmed Trabelsi fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Witney City's protests and gave Ahmed Trabelsi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Witney City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmed Trabelsi to maneuver through the defense. Noureddine Akid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Hatem Makhlouf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute Borhene Sboui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Issam Karray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mohamed Sfar hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raouf Naybet got free with Issam Karray in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th minute of the game, Lassaad Dhouib landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hassib Ladgham during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Newton on Ouse's zone, Raouf Naybet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Issam Karray came out of the goal and Raouf Naybet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
A hard shot 52 in the game by Noureddine Akid from a close distance when the talented Hatem Makhlouf managed to make a qualified save. Witney City's players were relieved. Mohamed Salah Ben Bouchrara charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mohamed Salah Ben Bouchrara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 55 minutes into the game, one of Newton on Ouse:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 60 minutes into the game, Mohsen Trabelsi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Witney City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newton on Ouse the free kick. In the 60th match minute, Witney City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohsen Trabelsi to maneuver through the defense. Witney City's Raouf Naybet got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Issam Karray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raouf Naybet in the 70th minute of the match. Hatem Makhlouf was a little too slow when Noureddine Akid got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 2-1. The supporters of Newton on Ouse booed when Witney City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Azaïez didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Witney City's Hatem Makhlouf got control of the ball when Noureddine Akid tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Noureddine Akid managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newton on Ouse's supporters rose to their feet, but Noureddine Akid was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hatem Makhlouf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 played minutes Newton on Ouse got a freekick which was hit by Hassib Ladgham. Witney City's Hatem Makhlouf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Witney City from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew the final whistle, Witney City could leave the field as winners, despite Newton on Ouse having more of the ball for most of the match.
