Mohamad Sioud ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in East Dereham's zone, Borhene Jaouachi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaies Jazi came out of the goal and Borhene Jaouachi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borhene Jaouachi in the 12th minute of play forced East Dereham's goalkeeper Kaies Jazi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Khaled Ben Aïssa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Zoubair Mzali sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Kaies Jazi threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Zoubair Mzali this time. Mohamad Sioud scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kaies Jazi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Zine Mestiri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmad Kasraoui. New Romney City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zine Mestiri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Hadj Salem Mzali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fathi Memmi kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, New Romney City's goal looked a bit too open when Zine Mestiri came free, but Ahmad Kasraoui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36th play minutes Hadj Salem Mzali shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Ahmad Kasraoui and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 41st minute, Khaled Ben Aïssa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaies Jazi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Borhene Jaouachi in the 42nd minute of the match. Yassine Benzekri was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hadj Salem Mzali to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Hassene Karoui mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the East Dereham and the New Romney City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kaies Jazi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mohamad Sioud's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. If Mohamed Ben Doulet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 73 minutes into the match, New Romney City's goalkeeper Ahmad Kasraoui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zine Mestiri. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Zine Mestiri managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Dereham's supporters rose to their feet, but Zine Mestiri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmad Kasraoui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, East Dereham's Belgacem Chaar got a free kick in the 89th minute. Ahmad Kasraoui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hadj Salem Mzali in the 94th minute of the match. New Romney City's Ali Ameur pulled a muscle in his back after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 95th minute of the match Hassene Karoui completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hassene Karoui a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Hassene Karoui hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The New Romney City fans cheered their team off the field, for while East Dereham had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
