The supporters of Staithes City booed when Welling United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhammad Benachour didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 minutes, Lassaad Bourchada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Welling United and the Staithes City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Welling United's Lassaad Bourchada got a free kick in the 20th minute. Hedi BenAmor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Jaouachi, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Staithes City's Haroune Negrouz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Habib Jemâa in the 25th minute of play. Muhammad Benachour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroune Negrouz having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Haroune Negrouz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Muhammad Benachour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 45th minute, Nizar Essediri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Staithes City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mohamed Jaouachi to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Welling United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moncef Miaâdi to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mohamed Jaouachi in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hedi BenAmor saved Welling United from getting behind. Nizar Essediri received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hedi BenAmor came out and tried to block the shot, but Nizar Essediri slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 54th minute. Habib Jemâa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroune Negrouz having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Muhammad Benachour left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Welling United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Muhammad Benachour recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 75 played minutes Staithes City got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Sellami. If Muhammad Benachour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nizar Essediris short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Hedi BenAmor to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hedi BenAmor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mohamed Jaouachi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 83 minute of play. When Habib Jemâa came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Welling United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Habib Jemâa couldn't finish the play. The Staithes City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
