An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Saidi in the 4th minute of play forced Finglesham's goalkeeper Hamdi Bouchrara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thame City's Férid Ben Doulet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Driss Hermassi in the 8th minute of play. Hamdi Bouchrara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Saidi, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Finglesham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thame City the free kick. After 25 played minutes Finglesham got a freekick which was hit by Adel Negrouz . 26 minutes into the match, Thame City's Abderrahman Mestiri broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Sofiene Zitouni got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sofiene Zitouni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sofiene Zitouni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Férid Ben Doulet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohamed Bouali blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamdi Bouchrara having to make a save. Mohamed Bouali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 minutes, Sofiene Zitouni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Finglesham and the Thame City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sofiene Zitouni kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Thame City's Férid Ben Doulet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Driss Hermassi in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Driss Hermassi to make the kick off. Wissem Nefzi charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience was convinced that Mohamed Saidi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hamdi Bouchrara was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. The Thame City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
